These Are a Few of My Favorite Apps: QR Reader

QR CodeOne of the rising trends I’ve noticed almost everywhere from business cards to outdoor advertisements is the use of QR Codes. QR Codes are those postage-stamp shaped images that can be read by cameras on your smartphone. Whether you decide to use QR Codes on your business cards and marketing materials is up to you, but with the proliferation of these little squares everywhere, you definitely need to download a QR reader for your phone.

One good one is QR Reader for iPhone. It’s quick and easy to use, and it also makes it easy for you to share information with others. Just click on this app and it’s ready to go. When you see a QR code, point your phone’s camera at the image and the app will automatically scan the image as soon as it comes into focus—no need to worry about shaky hands or pushing the right button to snap an image.

After that, it saves the scanned information to the app and gives you the option to share it by email, Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr. If the code directs to a URL, the app has a built-in web browser, which cuts out the need to open Safari. In addition, you can use the app to create your own QR codes for easy transfer of information from your phone to others.
