CHICAGO (Feb. 26, 2009) – Total Attorneys, the premier provider of legal services for small law firms, announced today that the company is holding a charity fundraiser Friday to benefit the American Cancer Society.
The move toward philanthropy was a calculated one. “We as a company are doing well in this economy, and it was important to us to give back,” said Edmund Scanlan, founder and CEO of Total Attorneys.
“The American Cancer Society was our first choice as almost everyone who works here has been affected in some way by cancer. This is more than just giving. It’s what we believe in as our company philosophy and as individuals.”
Total Attorneys’ philanthropic committee, known as Total Impact, aims to expand its charitable giving throughout 2009 to a number of other local organizations deemed worthy and important in a survey of the 185 employees of the company.
“I lost a close family member to cancer this year,” said President Kevin Chern. “So for me this is a cause close to home.”
Total Attorneys’ technology-enabled service assists lawyers in the areas of bankruptcy, divorce, personal injury and criminal defense.
Its Software-as-a-Service platform provides a full suite of services, including a professional call center, customer relationship management solutions, legal process outsourcing and search engine marketing.
In 2008, Total Attorneys, formerly known as Infra-Strategy, was named to Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000” list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
In addition to placing 169th, which lands in the top 1 percent of all U.S. firms surveyed, Infra-Strategy ranked eighth in the Top 100 Businesses in the Chicago-Naperville-Joliet-Illinois-Indiana-Wisconsin region, and 23rd among the Top 100 Business Services companies.
